This Act amends the Stamp and Cheque Duties Act 1971 to provide that the exemptions from stamp duty and cheque duty conferred in the NZ Patriotic Board and the Canteen Fund Board are carried over to the new Patriotic and Canteen Funds Board. The new Board was established under the Patriotic and Canteen Funds Amendment Act 1987 and replaced the former Boards.
Section 1 - Short Title and Application
Subsection (1)
provides that this Act be read together with, and form part of, the Stamp and Cheque Duties Act 1971.
Subsection (2)
provides that this Act came into force on 1 October 1987.
Sections 2, 3, 4 and 5
Sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 amend sections 12(1), 13(2)(c), 14(1)(i) and 79(1)(f) of the principal Act to replace references to "the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board" and "the Canteen Fund Board" with references to "the Patriotic and Canteen Funds Board". The amendments all apply from the 1st of October 1987.
